CEUProfessional is Licensed Provider of Continuing Education courses for the Board of Acupuncture of the State of Florida, #50-2509, and is a provider for the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Many States do not have Acupuncture Licensing Boards but do accept NCCAOM certification to license your practice. The 2010 biennial CEU requirements are in the table below. For the "General Hours" elective courses, we have two face-to-face courses, which are scheduled by popular demand and location (please contact us if you are interested in these courses). We will put you on our mailing list when they are scheduled. These face-to-face courses are the Didactic Portion of the NADA Training and Advanced Acupuncture for Mental Health.

As a condition of the biennial renewal of a license, each licensee shall complete a minimum of 30 credit hours per biennium of continuing education that meets the requirements of Section 457.107, Florida Statutes.

- For the first renewal period after initial licensure, the licensee is exempt from the continuing education requirements, except for the continuing education hours mandated for the 2 hour medical errors course and the 3 hour HIV/AIDS course. All credit hours must be earned within the biennium for which they are claimed.

Florida Administrative Code 64B1-7.0015, Continuing Education Requirements, changed on May 30, 2007. You can view the proposed changes that were adopted at FL Department of Health Acupuncture Board.
Due to the changes, HIV/AIDS will no longer be required for renewal. However, the first biennial renewal for a licensee will require 3 hours of HIV/AIDS and 2 hours of Medical Errors.
